UB40 Please Don't Make Me Cry (Labour Of Love) (DEP International) 1983
Loved this album when it came back in 1983. This is one of the stand out tracks for me.

The Meters Just Kissed My Baby (Reprise Records) 1974
Delightful re-release from 2004, The Meters 'Just Kissed My Baby' Essential soul / funk grooves. I can't listen to this without mentioning the track that I first heard sample it in 1987...

Public Enemy Timebomb (Yo! Bum Rush The Show) (Def Jam) 1987
Chuck D is on FIRE on this track, he absolutely murders it. This is how to make a rap tune, absolutely wicked. He is relentless all the way through, sounds like he could have gone on all night. Just played this 3 times back to back, you might find yourself doing the same...

Alyson Williams I Need Your Lovin' (Def Jam) 1989
Never seen this video before. Absolute monster of a soul tune from Alyson Williams remixed by Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper.
Eddy Grant Living On The Frontline (Ensign) 1979
Wow! Eddy Grant 'Living On The Frontline' This is a serious 12" record. The squelchy electronic bass on this is truly marvellous as are the lyrics. Listen to this in full, it's a great tune. Politically conscious words that are still as poignant and relevant as they were 29 years ago. Big respect Eddy.
