I just couldn't believe at the time when Erykah Badu released her landmark album 'Baduizm' that no one played her tunes? I heard one or two of her tunes on the radio once or twice. This was a life changing album. A massive break from the end of the mid 90's commercial rnb which by 1997 was pretty much over and Puff Daddy took over completely with his sampling of samples that had been sampled before. Maybe people weren't ready..

This is one of my favourite artists Erykah Badu with 'Bag Lady' which uses the killer Soul Mann & The Brothers sample that Dr Dre used on his 'Xxplosive' track. Not sure where this mix is from but it wasn't on the cd or 12" that I had..
