Thought I'd mention this again as it's Saturday.
Happened to pop by Bar Ca last Saturday night for an hour or two. Got to say the DJ was playing some top soul. Wish I had a scanner to scan the flyer in. DJ Vibes & C4 I think are the DJs there. I heard Marvin Gaye, Percy Sledge, Chic, Less Stress-Don't Dream It's Over, Soul II Soul and many more. Definitely worth checking out if you like real soul music. It is open till 3 as well.
Check out the bar here

Diana Ross I'm Still Waiting (Phil Chill Remix) (Motown) 1990
1990 was a big year for old soul cover versions...Maureen Walsh-Thinking About You, Double Trouble-Love Don't Live Here Anymore to name 2 that spring to mind! This was another and I like it and don't think it disrespects the original too much.

Marvin Gaye Sexual Healing/ NWA Express Yourself Bootleg
Ok so it's not groundbreaking stuff. But in the early 90's it wasn't as easy as it might be now to put 2 tunes together like this..Remember first hearing this on Sunset 102FM back in the day. Marvin Gaye and the NWA Express Yourself beats. On the other side we have What's Going On over the Soul II Soul 'Fairplay' beats..
