Bad Boy Soul Sunday Grooves

Some of the images I don't have at the moment for these 12's as they are stored away, will put them up as soon as I get them.

Julianne Loving The Right Way E.P. (Highlight) 1993 (Visions)

Top top UK soul this one. 'Loving The Right Way' is a beautiful street soul gem laced with Julianne's sweet vocals. Also on this EP is the classy soul track 'Visions' which is truly sensational and one of the best British soul tunes produced in this era. This is the bomb....

Mary Pearce Over

Quality UK Streetsoul from Mary Pearce.

Gems For Jem Time For Love/Even When You're Gone (E-Zee) 1993

Both sides of this 12" were the business. Well produced top notch UK soul.

Bassline feat Lorraine Chambers You've Gone (RMH) 1989

Wow! 'You've Gone' by Lorraine Chambers...what a tune this is! From the opening bars it is instantly recognisable. Really stops you dead in your tracks this song. Lyrically brilliant, it is enhanced by her high tone, moody synth, classic breakbeat and bassline. This just works. and is a real classic. Despite her less than exceptional vocal abilities this is one of the most powerful tunes you will ever hear and I wouldn't change anything about it. Magic.

Fifth Of Heaven Just A Little More Remix (Mix Ut Records) 1989

Ok this is the B Side to 'Without You' and a remix of the Manchester classic. I had to put the remis up as I cannot find the original version. Killer of a tune anyway whichever version. Stone cold classic recorded in sunny Salford.

Nomad Soul Candy Mountain (Universal) 1991

Nice tune from 1991, full of breakbeats and a nice summery vocal. Different lyrically from the rest of the bunch in them days.

Soul Family Sensation I Don't Even Know If I Should Call You Baby (One Little Indian) 1991

Absolutely wicked tune by SFS. Got caned on all the radio stations and soundsytems of the day and for good reasons. Jhelisa's effortlessly cool vocal makes this one to remember. A massive massive record. I absolutely love it.

Sade Cherish The Day (Epic) 1993 (Pal Joey Remix) (Ronin Remix) (Sade Remix Long Version)

Surely one of her best tunes, the sultry Sade gives us a real quality effort here with 3 wicked remixes-3 bass heavy ones at that. The only difficult part is picking which one to play...

Sade. The first lady of UK soul. She smashed it back in the day with her band sweetback. Also Nomad Soul Candy Mountain. What a tune!!!!
